Meet the Team
  GingerGinger was born at Wilford Hall Medical Center on Lackland AFB and soon moved with her Air Force family to different parts of the country. She returned to San Antonio in 1979. Ginger joined the team of Stone Oak Orthodontics in August 2001. She set her goal of being an orthodontic assistant in 1975 when she wore braces. She was finally able to achieve her dream and started her orthodontic career in 1984. Ginger and her husband enjoy spending time with their two grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, decorating and shopping. She also has a huge love for dogs and has one of her own. Ginger feels very blessed to have found such a wonderful doctor and team to work with.  JeannetteJeannette has been working in the dental field since 1984. She started her training as a high school co-op student in her hometown of Warren, Michigan. During this time, she has worked positions in the dental field and has worked for all types of dental specialists. Jeannette and her husband, Guy, have traveled and lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Michigan. Jeannette joined Dr. Norris’s team in April 2000 and says, “ I look forward to many happy years serving our patients here at Stone Oak Orthodontics”.  JulieJulie joined the team in September 2002. Since 1979, dentistry has been a big part of her life. Julie graduated as a dental hygienist from the University Of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Since then she has enjoyed working in many areas of dentistry, especially orthodontics. Julie enjoys teaching Sunday school and Bible studies, training for marathons, and playing with her pound puppy, Ladybug. With her many years in orthodontics, she has brought knowledge and skill to a practice that encourages excellence and a love for people.  KarenKaren, who was born in Indiana, came to San Antonio to visit her sister. She decided to move here shortly after. This is also where she met and married her husband in 1998. Karen graduated in 1995 from the San Antonio Health Science Center as a certified Dental Technician. In 1997, she began working for Dr. Norris as an assistant and is now his lab technician. Karen's after-work interests include cycling, cooking and outdoor activities. She enjoys playing with her dog, Shadow. When asked, Karen says, "I can honestly say it is a pleasure to come to work each day. I love to make people smile and believe we have a great team here at Stone Oak Orthodontics."  PamelaPamela joined the team in October of 2004. She relocated from Tulsa, Oklahoma, because her husband took a job with Frost Bank. They love San Antonio and have been enjoying making it home. Pamela has been in the field of orthodontics since 1976. In those years she has had several different positions in the orthodontic field and has enjoyed the role of Treatment Coordinator since 1999. She was very excited to join Dr. Norris and his team where there is a high emphasis on patient care, service, high technology, and just downright fun! Pamela enjoys an active lifestyle where running, skiing, scuba diving and other outdoor activities play a big role in her and her husband's lives. She has one son who still resides in Tulsa.  VeliaVelia Madrid was born in El Paso, but grew up in sunny California. She graduated from SACMDA in 1988. She loved orthodontics so much that in 1999 she obtained her Certification as an Orthodontic Assistant by DANB. She is very much an animal lover: Her children include three dogs, Ziggy, Zeus, Daisy; her cat, Autumn; and guinea pig, Donna. Velia has loved calling San Antonio her home since 1999. Now she loves to call Stone Oak Orthodontics her "home" as well.  TonyaTonya joined the team at Stone Oak Orthodontics in October of 2005. She has worked in the orthodontic field since 1990 and is a native Texan that loves the Texas heat. As a teenager, Tonya wore braces & had a great experience with her orthodontist. After completing her orthodontic treatment he gave her a job in his office. She later became a Board Certified Dental Assistant. She was born in Waco, Texas and at age 10 moved to the Alamo city. Tonya lives with her wonderful husband out in the country near Castroville and has one Labrador dog named Mocha “B”. Tonya’s hobbies include gardening, decorating, collecting lighthouses and shopping. Boating is where you will find her in the summer months. She loves her job and thinks the world of Dr. Norris who she feels is the best orthodontist for miles around.  MarieMarie joined our team in March of 2006. She has been in the orthodontic field since 1993 and is a Registered Dental Assistant. She was born in Huntington Beach, California. She now resides in San Antonio with her husband Michael and their Jack Russell terrier named MILO. In their spare time, they also enjoy working in the yard, exercising and listening to music. Marie is very glad to have the opportunity to become part of the team at Stone Oak, and looks forward to each day.  KristyKristy was born in the small community of Beeville, TX, and has lived here in San Antonio for twenty-five years. As a teenager, Kristy had braces and after a great experience, she knew she wanted to work in the dental field. Kristy has been in the dental and orthodontic field since 1999. In 2006, she became a certified dental assistant. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Kristy feels blessed to have been given the opportunity to begin her journey here at Stone Oak Orthodontics. We are very proud to have Kristy be a part of our great orthodontic team.  GloriaGloria began her career as an orthodontic assistant in May 1989, and joined Stone Oak Orthodontics in May 2008. Along with Dr. Norris, Gloria is bilingual and is definitely a plus living here in San Antonio. Born in Michoacán, Mexico, Gloria came to America as a toddler. Raised in California, she moved to Texas in November 2000. Gloria's primary role is wife and mother. She is married to Gary and she has 3 great kids, Rosalind, Damien and Raven. Exercise and reading fills Gloria’s limited leisure time. We are glad Gloria chose our practice to bring her expertise and experience in orthodontics along with her great smile and laugh. |
