The week of May 5th-9th was the American Association of Orthodontics 106th Annual Session in Las Vegas, Nevada. The session offers us an excellent opportunity to attend lectures, presentations and see new, advanced technology in orthodontics.
Dr. Norris and his staff attended meetings, seminars and networked with other orthodontic staff members across the country to be able to bring back to our office the best orthodontic treatment available.
The front office staff (Debora, Jeannette, Pamela and Julie) attended meetings on how to take the best care of our patients. The seminars included scheduling patient appointments, filing insurance, and answering questions regarding orthodontic treatment.
The clinical assistants (Ginger, Velia, Lindsey, Doris, Tonya and Marie) were involved in the clinical and scientific aspect of the lectures. The assistants' goals are to be able to give the best quality of care to our patients along with assisting Dr. Norris in producing great orthodontics and giving a personal touch of compassion.
Our Certified Dental Technician (Karen) learned about new appliances that bring more comfort to our patients and using the most effective materials. Dr. Norris' goal is to give Karen everything she needs to be able to construct the best appliances available.
Dr. Norris, being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, involved in the orthodontic program at his alma mater, Howard University, and a world-renowned speaker and teacher of orthodontics brings a lot of knowledge to the session. Dr. Norris is always involved in the orthodontic community to keep the standards high and work for excellence in our wonderful field.
